Privacy Policy

Reán Hussain, a sole trader trading as Aleura Automation ("Aleura", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where it applies, the EU GDPR.

1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

2. What Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to share it with us, for example when you:

  • Book a call: our Calendly booking form collects your name, email address and any answers you give to the booking questions.
  • Email us: your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
  • Become a client: business contact and billing details, and the information we need to deliver our services, such as access to your advertising accounts.

We do not collect sensitive personal data (as defined under Article 9 UK GDPR), We only use advertising cookies if you accept them (see Section 9). Your IP address may be processed by the third-party services listed in Section 5.

Website activity (only with your consent): if you accept cookies, the Meta Pixel records which pages you visit, and whether you book a call or click to email us, along with technical details such as your IP address, browser and device. We use this to measure how our adverts perform and to show relevant adverts on Facebook and Instagram.

When we run advertising campaigns for you, we may handle personal data belonging to your leads, such as their name and contact details. In that case you are the controller and we act as a data processor on your behalf, under the data processing terms in our agreement with you. We delete that data when our agreement ends, once any invoice queries are resolved.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds under Article 6 UK GDPR:

  • Pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b)): When you submit an inquiry, processing your data is necessary to respond to your request and take steps prior to entering into a contract.
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): We use the Meta Pixel only if you accept cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): We have a legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries, operating our website, and loading fonts and scripts from third-party content delivery networks so the website displays correctly. We have balanced this interest against your rights and determined it does not override them.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the information you provide solely to:

  • Respond to your inquiry or request
  • Assess whether our services are a suitable fit for your needs
  • Follow up on ongoing conversations or proposals

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Processors

We use the following third-party services that may process your personal data on our behalf:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com): We load web fonts from Google's CDN. When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log your IP address. No personal data you submit to us is shared with Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • unpkg (unpkg.com): Our homepage loads the Three.js library from the unpkg CDN to render its 3D animation. When your browser requests this file, unpkg and its hosting providers may log your IP address. No personal data you submit to us is shared with unpkg.
  • Calendly (calendly.com): When you book a call, the booking form is provided by Calendly, which collects the details you enter (such as your name and email address) and may set cookies. Calendly acts as a data processor and is subject to its own privacy policy. See Calendly's Privacy Policy.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Meta Pixel): Only if you accept cookies, the Meta Pixel sends data about your visit to Meta. Meta acts as a joint controller with us for collecting and sending this data, and as an independent controller for how it uses the data afterwards, which may include transfers to the United States under appropriate safeguards. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Workspace and Microsoft 365: we use Gmail, Google Sheets, Excel and OneDrive to manage our email, records and invoicing. These providers store data on our behalf under their own data protection terms.

We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK or the European Economic Area (EEA) except where covered by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as referenced in the processors' own policies above.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal data from enquiries and booked calls for a maximum of 12 months from the date of your last communication with us. If you become a client, we keep the data needed to manage our agreement for as long as it runs and for up to 6 years afterwards, to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

If you ask us to delete your data earlier, we will do so promptly in accordance with your rights below, unless we are legally required to keep it.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

Where GDPR applies, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15): You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16): You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17): You may request that we delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue processing it.
  • Right to restriction (Art. 18): You may ask us to restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20): Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21): You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at enquiries@aleuraautomation.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not charge a fee for reasonable requests.

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). In the EU, it is the data protection authority of the member state where you live or work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.

We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first, so please contact us before approaching a regulator.

9. Cookies

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept advertising cookies. Nothing is tracked unless you choose Accept, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

  • Strictly necessary: we store your cookie choice in your browser so we do not ask again on every page. This does not identify you.
  • Advertising (Meta Pixel), only with consent: the _fbp cookie, kept for up to 90 days, helps Meta measure how our adverts perform and show you relevant adverts.

Calendly may also set cookies when you open the booking form, under its own policy. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
