Aleura Automation ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection law.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit it through our contact form. This may include:

  • Message content describing your workflow or inquiry

We do not collect sensitive personal data (as defined under Article 9 GDPR), and we do not use tracking cookies or behavioural advertising. Your IP address may be processed by third-party services listed in Section 5.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds under Article 6 GDPR:

  • Pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b)): When you submit an inquiry, processing your data is necessary to respond to your request and take steps prior to entering into a contract.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): We have a legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries, operating our website, and loading fonts from Google's CDN for consistent presentation. We have balanced this interest against your rights and determined it does not override them.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the information you provide solely to:

  • Respond to your inquiry or request
  • Assess whether our services are a suitable fit for your needs
  • Follow up on ongoing conversations or proposals

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Processors

We use the following third-party services that may process your personal data on our behalf:

  • Formspree (formspree.io): Our contact form is processed by Formspree, which receives and forwards your submission to our email inbox. Formspree acts as a data processor and is subject to its own privacy policy. Form submissions may be temporarily stored on Formspree's servers. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com): We load web fonts from Google's CDN. When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log your IP address. No personal data you submit to us is shared with Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) except where covered by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as referenced in the processors' own policies above.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data submitted via the contact form for a maximum of 12 months from the date of your last communication with us. After this period, data is deleted or anonymised unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, if we enter into a contract with you).

If you ask us to delete your data earlier, we will do so promptly in accordance with your rights below.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

Where GDPR applies, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15): You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16): You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17): You may request that we delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue processing it.
  • Right to restriction (Art. 18): You may ask us to restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20): Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21): You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In the EU, this is the data protection authority of the member state where you reside or work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.

9. Cookies

This website does not set cookies of its own. Third-party services (Google Fonts, Formspree) may set or read cookies in accordance with their own policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
